Q: What company are you affiliated with?
A: We are certified through the American Heart Assocoation (AHA) and EMS Safety Services.
Q: Which certification do I need?
A: Teachers, ESP personnel, Counselors, Childcare Personnel, and tattoo artists can satisfy their requirements with the Lay Responder CPR/AED and First Aid Class. Doctors, Nurses, EMTs, Paramedics, and other healthcare workers need BLS or Professional Rescuer. If you work in a medical facility, check with your company, some require AHA and some require American Red Cross (ARC).
Q: When will I get my card?
A: AHA emails cards to students. If your email is not received within 14 days of your class, reach out to your instructor. Be sure to check your junk and spam email folders. Cards for classes through EMS Safety can come through email or USPS, again, this should not take longer than 14 days.
Q: Do I need to take notes during class?
A: Your instructor should provide you a workbook (or a link to a printable workbook). The workbook is yours to keep and make notes in as you choose.
Q: How long is the class?
A: Depending on the class selection, class will run for at least 2 hours and depending on the supplies available, can last up to 6 hours. (Oxygen Administration is not as long as CPR/AED and First Aid.) Speak with your instructor for specific class times.
